Background:

Apeirohedron ("Pei" for short) is an eager kind of guy, taking on challenges as soon as they arise and never saying "can't". On the other hand, this means that he's not so much for laying the important groundwork for success, which is probably why he and Mitch work out so well as a research team: Mitch will organize and create a tactical approach to some complex problem, and then Pei can go headlong into a massive dataset without worrying about missing information or having a bad strategy. The fact that Pei is better at video games than the guy with actual thumbs is a nice boost to his ego, too.
